ICC-SRCC & ICC-SWCC

The full name of ICC-SRCC is Solar Rating & Certification Corporation, that is, solar energy rating certification

The full name of ICC-SWCC is Small Wind Certification Council, that is, the Small Wind Power Certification Committee

SRCC originated from the Florida Solar Energy Rating Certification Company, is a voluntary certification that only applies to solar water heaters, and is also recognized in some American countries. In addition, unlike EU countries, the US government’s policy to encourage citizens to use renewable energy is tax rebates, not government subsidies, and the amount is not less than 30% of the total cost . The tax types are distributed among sales tax, personal income tax, property tax, etc. Etc., and no other restrictive clauses.

In 2015, SRCC launched a new certification mark, as shown in the following table:

        Solar Collector, applicable standard OG-100

The sample to be tested must be randomly sampled from the factory, and only one model can be tested to cover other models of the same series. Test period 3-4 months

Main test items:

a.       Thermal performance test and endurance reliability test

Thermal performance test includes efficiency curve measurement, heat capacity measurement, incident angle correction coefficient, pressure drop and other items; calculation of energy utilization rate;

b.         Quality and reliability test: internal pressure test, high temperature resistance test, critical temperature determination, 30- day exposure test, external thermal shock test, internal thermal shock test, rain test, mechanical load test, impact resistance test, etc.

c. After the          test is completed, SRCC reviews the product data and test results, determines whether the product meets the minimum requirements for certification, and calculates the performance level

d. The         certified product must be affixed with the SRCC label, and product material information, instructions, and thermal efficiency ratingmust beprovided

Solar water heating system Solar Water System, applicable standard OG-300

The system certification must include the following main components : collectors, controllers, water tanks, circulating pumps, heat transfer media, and other components.  The validity period of the SRCC certificate is 12 years, the annual fee is paid regularly every year, and the conformity inspection of product design and materials is accepted at least every 2-4 years. In addition, American customers can raise objections to the test results at any time and request re-examination and re-testing.
